On Wednesday, May 1, 2024, the ATS will host its 6th Annual Trauma Registry Professionals Day. We recognize that Trauma Registrars are vital to providing care, are key members of the trauma team, and are active participants in advancing the trauma registry profession. As the leader in trauma registry, the ATS understands the value of the work our professionals perform day in and day out.

We ask you to join us in a show of appreciation and support for your Trauma Registry Professionals and the members of our team throughout the nation.

Trauma Registry Professionals...

Your work is vital to providing care for the injured patients as part of the trauma team and you directly contribute to injury prevention programs. We know the work is not always easy and it requires a great deal of care, compassion, expertise, and skill. From the team at the ATS, thank you! 

Join us to celebrate National Trauma Registry Professionals Day on May 1, 2024, by:

1. Sharing an appreciation post & photo on social media using the hashtag #thisistraumaregistry for you or your fellow Trauma Registry Professionals.

You can download our  "#thisistraumaregistry" signage here to share your appreciation or use our Virtual Photo Booth, its a fun way to take your photos! Be sure to share a staff photo, a post for each Trauma Registry Professional on your team; the more the merrier! The ATS will then share your post to our page to spread the appreciation! If you are not sure what to share, consider why Trauma Registry Professionals are vital to your hospital or trauma team; think about a time you felt inspired by a Trauma Registry Professional on your team; or consider what you might say if you had a chance to thank a Trauma Registry Professional for their work. We love to see Trauma Registry Professionals hard at work so don’t forget to include a photo, if possible.

2. Sharing your why and how your trauma center has impacted patient care!

Passion is the fuel that drives us forward, and the ATS wants to learn what fuels your love of trauma registry! Similar to above, share your why and an example of how you and your trauma center have used the registry and data to directly impact patient care on social media using the #thisistraumaregistry or drop us an email! We will be sure to feature your post on National Trauma Registry Professionals Day! 

3. Joining the ATS!

If you have not been a member of the ATS now is the time to try it out. Use the code "TraumaRegistryProfessionalDay2024" on May 1, 2024 for a $35 membership. This membership discount is only available to new members of the ATS who register and pay on May 1, 2024.

4. Participating in ATS Trauma Registrar & Data Analyst Group on ATSConnect.

The ATS has developed a list of fun ways to say thank you to your Trauma Registry Professionals! Consider showering your Trauma Registry Professionals with appreciation by using any of the ideas below!

1. Download and send our Certificate of Appreciation to your staff; it's a fun way to recognize your Trauma Registry Professionals and their hard work.

2. If allowed, consider hosting a staff potluck or a celebration with cake and ice cream! This is another great way to say thank you. If COVID-19 pandemic regulations limit your ability to convene in person consider sending your Trauma Registry Professionals a lunch or treat. 

3. Never underestimate the power of a handwritten note! A personalized thank you note goes along way! You can always add a small gift card or special treat inside. 

4. Consider sending your Trauma Registry Professionals flowers, a beautiful bouquet with a pop of color is a great way to say thank you!

5. Everyone loves to show their hospital pride! If you can order logo-wear or your department has extra, send something their way!

6. Host a virtual afternoon coffee break or cocktail hour! This is a fantastic way to bring the team together, share your appreciation, and connect as a staff!

7. Work with hospital administrators, trauma department staff, etc. to create a thank you photo collage and share it on social media! We would love to have you share it with us by using the hashtag #thisistraumaregistry
