ATS Mourns the Passing of Past ATS President Maurine Goehring, RN

Former ATS Board member, President , and friend, Maurine Goehring, RN, passed away on August 26, 2021.  Maurine was a trailblazer in trauma systems development, serving as the first female President of our organization.  During her tenure with the ATS, Maurine championed the development of a trauma registrar’s program, 2^nd Trauma and an inventory of trauma centers in the US, now known as TIEP, the Trauma Information Exchange Program.   Our former, long time Executive Director Harry Teeter described Maurine as a “loyal and steadfast” contributor to the ATS.  Our deepest sympathies are with Maurine’s family.  A link to her obituary can be found here.
