"An Overview of the International Classifications of Diseases, Tenth Revision (ICD-10) for Trauma Registrars".

The webinar will cover a general overview of the Clinical Modification (CM) and Procedural Coding System (PCS) of ICD-10. This course is perfect for a new trauma registrar to provide them with the foundation needed for understanding both the ICD-10-CM an ICD-10-PCS coding systems. ICD-10-CM is the system used by trauma registrars to classify and code diagnoses, symptoms, and external causes on trauma patients. ICD-10-PCS is the system which replaced the ICD-9 volume 3 for reporting inpatient procedures and used by trauma registrars to code procedures performed on the trauma patient during hospitalization.

The webinar is presented by Rudy Flores, BSPH, CSTR, RHIT, HCA South Atlantic Division Manager of Trauma Registry and AHIMA Approved ICD-10-CM/PCS trainer and Garrett Hall, BSN, RN, CSTR, Ben Taub Hospital’s Ginni and Richard Mithoff Level I Trauma Center, Trauma Registry Manager.
