In recognition of National EMS Week, please join us for a free special screening of Honorable But Broken: EMS In Crisis, a compelling documentary that sheds light on the growing emergency within our nation’s EMS system. Through powerful storytelling and real-life accounts, this film explores the challenges faced by EMTs and paramedics, the ongoing workforce shortage, and the consequences of an underfunded, unregulated system.

What if you called 911 and no one responded?

This isn’t a future problem. It’s happening now in communities across the country.

Most states are not legally required to provide EMS services, leaving agencies underfunded and struggling. Rural areas are especially hard-hit, with dangerously long response times and too few personnel to meet rising demand. This crisis impacts all of us—and demands urgent action.

Bryony Gilbey, a former producer for 60 Minutes and ABC News, and mother to three EMS professionals, brings a deeply personal lens to this project. She has fully self-funded the production.

Richard Diefenbach, former broadcast journalist and educator, co-produced the film through RPD Media Associates, LLC.
