Trauma
Center Inventory
The inventory of trauma centers identifies all trauma centers in the
U.S. and maintains information for each center on designation/certification
and verification, level of care for adult and pediatric trauma, trauma
registry characteristics, and key personnel. Tables and maps based
on inventory data show the distribution of trauma centers across the
country.
Trauma
Center Surveys
TIEP has initiated a program of targeted surveys on selected issues
in trauma care. The goals of the program are to collaborate with
the network of trauma centers in collecting data on the current
status of trauma center care and contribute to improving trauma
care. The first TIEP survey addressed the Organization
of Critical Care Services in Trauma Centers.
Trauma
Systems Inventory
TIEP collaborated with the Health
Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) and the National
Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) on a survey of
the status of trauma systems across the U.S. A report of the survey
results, "A
2002 National Assessment of State Trauma System Development, Emergency
Medical Services Resources, and Disaster Readiness for Mass Casualty Events," is available at the HRSA website.
Trauma
Watch
Trauma Watch is a biweekly news publication that provides summaries
of the nation’s trauma-related news gathered from major media
outlets and general clinical journals. The Advisory Board Company
produces this popular and valuable resource for TIEP. The first
issue appeared on January 28, 2002 and all issues are available
on this site.
