The Georgia Trauma Commission divided $58.9 million in state tax dollars, giving Grady Memorial Hospital about one quarter of the available funds. However, this fell well short of the $25 million Grady had expected. The hospital loses approximately $40 million annually in uncompensated trauma care and was hoping to shore up its finances through this allocation of funds. |
