Mechanicsburg, Pa. The American Trauma Society, Pennsylvania Division (ATSPA) is pleased to announce that Kechi Okwuchi, burn survivor and “America’s Got Talent” finalist will be the Keynote speaker for its annual conference.

On December 10, 2005, Kechi Okwuchi boarded a local airplane to head home for the holidays from boarding school. The airplane crashed and killed 107 out of 109 passengers, 60 of whom were fellow classmates and friends. Kechi suffered third degree burns over 65 percent of her body and has since undergone multiple intensive surgical procedures.

Twelve years after this horrific event, Kechi has shown her strength by becoming a voice for burn survivors and was even a 2017 finalist on “America’s Got Talent.” Kechi will present “Kechi Okwuchi: A Burn Survivor’s Story of Resilience” during the ATSPA’s annual conference banquet on Wednesday, March 14th at 5:00 PM at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center. Register to attend and learn how Kechi persevered after dozens of surgeries in numerous cities. Hear her incredible journey of faith, family, and music and how the three helped her strive for greatness in her life.

For more information on Kechi’s presentation, or any questions on the conference, please contact Danielle Adams, ATSPA Communications Coordinator, at dadams@atspa.org or 717-766-1616.
