Job Description

Stamford, CT – Stamford Health System, a 305 bed community teaching hospital affiliated with Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, is seeking a Director for its Level II Trauma Service. The Services sees nearly 800 trauma cases each year and the volume is growing. The Trauma Director will also serve as the Vice Chair of Surgery for the 160 member department. Qualified candidates will be those who are board certified in General Surgery with Trauma/Critical Care Fellowship training, as well as a desire to develop a strategic vision for the trauma service, assist the Chair of Surgery in the expansion of surgical specialties and develop a comprehensive surgical critical care service for the organization.
