Falls can happen at ANY age!
Each year, working in collaboration with the Society of Trauma Nurses, HRSA's Emergency Medical Services for Children Program, and others, ATS convenes an ad hoc committee to develop material for National Trauma Awareness Month in May. Committee members research current trends in traumatic injury, and, based on injury trends, develop injury prevention programs for our members to use in their own communities. The National Trauma Awareness Month Committee membership is open to ATS members as well as members of our collaborating partners.
For 2011, National Trauma Awareness Month will focus on "FALLS: Preventable at Any Age."
