Introduction to ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS for the Trauma Registrar
Join us for an educational webinar covering an introduction to ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding. This webinar is presented by Sue Bowman, MJ, RHIA, CCS, FAHIMA, Senior Director, Coding Policy and Compliance for American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
Upon completion of the Introduction to ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS for Trauma Registrars, the learner will be able to:
- Identify the fundamental element of ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding structure.
- Achieve a basic understanding of trauma ICD-10-CM diagnosis and ICD-10-PCS procedure coding.
- Achieve a basic understanding of the IDC-10 coding set.
The course is not an in-depth training on ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS, but is offered as an introduction to prepare trauma professionals for future in-depth courses offered covering ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS.
In particular the introduction to ICD-10 course is being offered by the ATS – Trauma Registry and Data Council for trauma professionals as a prerequisite recommendation for attendees who plan to attended the Part II of External Cause Code Decision Making ICD-10-CM offered by the ATS and CDC partnership later this summer.
