The American Trauma Society’s (ATS) Trauma Registrar Council is very pleased to offer trauma registrars an alternative method of self-study for earning continuing education. There will be a trauma registry related article posted on the ATS web site each quarter.
Earning continuing education credits is easy; simply read the article, then complete the answer sheet. Submit your answer sheet with the appropriate fee. A passing score of 70% or better will earn one CEU (Continuing Education Unit/1 hour) awarded by ATS.
Certified Specialist in Trauma Registries (CSTR) may recertify based on CEUs. A minimum of 32 contact hours (8 CEUs per year for 4 year recertification period) must be in the areas of (I) Data Management, (II) Conditions of Injuries, (III) Coding and Scoring Concepts, and (IV) Registry Issues.

- Answer the 10 questions, carefully picking only ONE best answer for each question.
- Click on the Answer Sheet Attachment to current article.
- Complete information on submission form, return to ATS with your processing fee by the quiz deadline.
- With a passing score of 70% or better, ATS will award one CEU.
* please allow 4-6 weeks after submission for processing. Quizzes may not be retaken.

Several archived Trauma Registrar Continuing Education articles appear at the link below. Trauma Registrars may take an archived quiz for CEU credit toward recertification as long as the quiz is within 24 months of recertification.
